next venue is the Sikh temple. Known as Gurdwara Sahib Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. (Click on the link I tagged for further information).
It takes about five minutes or less on a weekend morning (no heavy traffic) from the Hindu temple to this venue. Gurdwara Sahib Sentul look very majestic. With the yellow/gold colour scheme used on the dome, it looks very grand from afar.
This portion of the building houses it’s office and the ground floor is where they will have their meal when they have something on. Cooking are all done by the family members.
As usual… I’ll be snapping pictures probably every minute. You can see the rest in the album. We were lucky, someone from the temple (a man in red turban) approached us and volunteered to give us a thorough tour of the worship area plus his story… what a lucky day!
The rules is: everyone has to cover their head, man or woman. No slippers or shoes… barefooted. I think all ‘holy’ place requires this. God knows what you step on and then walk about in a place of worship… eewww… if you notice, we had to take off all footwear in the Hindu temple too. more pictures in the album… enjoy!
